Fair and Family Backyard Fun

Summers are super!  The State Fair brings food and animal fun!  Hanging out on the patio and in the pool is cool!  Tenting and a campfire in the backyard is good times!
Krissy and I ate our way through the fried tomatoes and pickles and various other specialties of the State Fair. We roamed through the barns getting our fill of the dog drill teams, baby pigs, pygmy goats and Percherons. We even viewed the two-ton Indiana cheddar cheese sculpture. (below) It was a lovely day at the State Fair.
Luke, Mandy, Addie, Jamie and Eland.
To top off that day, there was another backyard extravaganza at Tim and Jamie’s. Friends were visiting, eating and having a lot of laughs.  Jamie’s very fun sisters, Emily and Mandy, and their children, put up the tent for the boys to sleep out (photo) after all the kids had their fill of swimming in the pool.  Below, cute little Sage is really becoming a water bug. And Luke put his hand to making a fire the old fashioned way, but he eventually said “I took Tim’s way.”  There was a big blaze in the fire pit in no time and the kids were enjoying their hot dogs and smores.
