From Indy to Arizona
After Jerry's successful back surgery and a minimal recuperation time of three weeks, we left Indiana in late January for warmer climates. There were stops in Nacogdoches and Livingston, (For Fantastic Superbowl Sunday!! Yeah Colts!), Boerne and VanHorn, Texas. Continuing west, we spent a few weeks enjoying the vast panoramic views of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona from our new vantage points in the motorhome. By late February we were in Quartzsite, AZ. for an appointment to have our solar panels that we had salvaged from the 5th wheel installed on "Ferd." Quartzsite is a totally unique place with a plethora of unique people to watch and every type of home on wheels to choose from . Pictured above is one of our proud neighbors at the Hi Jolly camping area. Came across some fulltimer friends after our solar system was installed so we spent a few extra days revisiting with them. Nancy snapped this shot on one of her desert walks of a few cactus friends who seem to be pointing to the nice view of the mountains.
